I NEED A JOB

That's what most graduates are saying to themselves on a daily basis.

"I have a degree now, why can't I get a job in my field? I'm tired of applying for vacant positions and not getting called for interviews."

Well, let me share with you a little secret...

So yes, you do meet the 'degree requirement' criteria but so does Jack and Jill. If you think that in the interview is where you make your first impression, you are wrong.

Your "first impression" starts with your RESUME.

This is where you have to differentiate yourself from the 1000's of other recent graduates and those who have more working experience than you.

Your resume should make a bold statement and make it impossible for the HR professional to not short-list you. You have to stun him/her.

Your resume must have a proper structure and should be listed in reverse chronological order.
Your resume design should not be the boring or average design but it should be appealing and captivating so that the reader would be encouraged to view your entire document. However, it should still maintain a professional look!

It should not be full of unnecessary content and details. It should state the important and relevant facts related to the position you are applying for! If you are desperate for a job, take the time to do this key step. TARGET the position you are applying for, do not generalize your resume. This shows the recruiter that you are not lazy and that you are genuinely interested in the position.

Once this is done, the probability of you being short-listed is much higher!
So your next step would simply be to nail that interview! #DressWell #SpeakWell

These are just a few tips on the 1st step on how to get the job.
